What the Kids are Saying

I was reading the paper yesterday, and there was a section on all that crazy slang the youngsters are using. Several were predictably silly/misunderstood.

But what jumped out at me was a brilliant turn of phrase that I think should be adopted everywhere at once:

Butterfaith
A lady who is otherwise an exceptional catch, but whose religious devotion is a deal-breaker.

  1. I second your assessment Mike. I’m just about done for the day and all too ready for bed, and so of course I read “butterface” at first, which wouldn’t be all that clever or new. Upon rereading, I see that it’s excellent. Good call.
